Isn’t it interesting how we attribute certain characteristics and personalities to animals. “Sly as a fox”. They are considered sneaky or untrustworthy, always a negative connotation. In fact they are remarkable creatures who are incredibly clever and great at adapting to different habitats. They are great at helping us keep our rodent population under control. Not to mention they are super cute especially when they are diving nose first into the deep snow.
Painting in the round with our varying styles is symbolic not only of our “Gather Round” theme but also our continuous movement toward improving our art and connecting with both our community and our deeper selves. We paint in different styles, but the show is unified by all of us painting in the round. We want to be able to celebrate the diversity in our work while still feeling connected. We have met online and want to use this art show as an opportunity to strengthen our community in an in-person event.
