I just love watching the behaviour of these darling little ducklings. While Mum is always nearby she often dives out of sight for a snack and when she comes back up the wee ducklings race to be with her. In this case the ducklings had been in full sun and they swam directly into the shady area where the reflections were in tense and the waves they made caught the colour of the sky. It was amazing and I just had to paint it.
In life we are all always racing to the finish. Whom will be first, or the best? But it is the journey that really matters. That's why I hike so slowly, I take stopping to smell the roses deeply to heart. I stop and admire the flowers & fungi on every Journey.
